Jeffrey H. Portner, MD

Jeffrey H. Portner, MD, practices Family Medicine at LMG Family Practice. Dr. Portner was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and has served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps. His practice interests include chronic headache syndrome, preventive medicine, and cardiovascular disorders.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Portner attended Penn State University, was a member of the University Scholar’s Honors Program and graduated Magna Cum Laude. After being awarded a scholarship from the U.S. Army, he obtained his medical degree from the Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine at Penn State University. After completing a residency in Family Medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Portner served in the U.S. Army in a variety of locations, including Central America. He attained the rank of Major and remained in the Army reserve for several years after completing active duty military service. Dr. Portner is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is on the medical staff at Abington Memorial Hospital Lansdale.

Married with two children, Dr. Portner’s hobbies include reading, classical music, and cooking.
